Last Update: November 11, 2013
B Muse ADCA# 033314. Black, carries red, does NOT carry dun, pha-free, A1/A2 milk. Long-legged, non-chondro carrier. Dehorned, will be halter broken and trained to lead. Exhibits a very calm, easy-going disposition like her mom and dad. Her mom, Bennan, was the Junior Heifer Class Winner at the 2012 AGM in the Open Class. At the 2013 AGM, Bennan was 4th place in both the Youth and Open Senior Yearling Class. Bennan has a tremendous udder. Her father is our fantastic herd sire Midas who has sired multiple show winners. Sire and dam qualified on her pedigree. This is a championship quality calf that we feel would compete well at any show or be a great first Dexter or addition to your herd! Available at weaning - early Spring 2014. $1750 and is available now with a deposit.
Muse with Bennan (look at mom's udder!)
B Witched ADCA# 033383. Our Halloween heifer! Born 10-31 to Sugar, who is a multiple show champion. Non-carrier of chondro (test pending), pha-free, dehorned. Black, carries red and may carry dun (test pending). Sugar has tremendous milking lines and a great udder. This long-legged calf would be a fantastic candidate for a family milk cow and/or show cow. Sire and Dam qualified. Will be ready to go to her new home in the Spring of 2014. Will be halter broken, trained to lead, etc. Another outstanding first Dexter or addition to your herd. Priced at $1750 and a deposit will hold her until Spring.
Here she is with her mom Sugar. Look at Sugar's conformation and udder!
Polled Black Heifer ADCA# 033369. This is Amelia, a polled black heifer. Long-legged, pha-free. I have halter-broken her, but she still needs work to lead on the halter. On our tameness scale, Amelia ranks more than a 3, but not a 4 - with more time she will be a great heifer. We have priced her based on the fact she needs some more time on the halter to lead well. Priced at $1500 and she is ready to go now!
De-horned Black Heifer ADCA# 033368. This is Hellen, long-legged, pha-free, black heifer. Like Amelia, I have halter broken her but she still needs work to lead on the halter. Also a 3+ on our tameness scale. This is another nice heifer at a great price! $1300 and she is ready to go now. Hellen and Amelia have been together since born; we would love to see them go to a new home as a pair!
PACKAGE PRICING !!. Take Helen and Amelia for $2600 for the pair. Or, take 3 or more of the above and we will discount the total by 15%!
Polled Red Heifer. She is long-legged, pha free, polled. Sired by Levi. Only a few weeks old - we have not even named her yet. A deposit will hold her and you can name her! Will be halter broken, trained to lead, etc. Ready to be weaned in early Spring 2014. Beautiful red heifer; priced at $2000

Halter Breaking And Tameness Scale. We assign a "rating" to every Dexter in terms of how halter broken and tame they are. This is a practical scale that reflects real-world experience. We guarantee that each Dexter is rated accurately based on the following scale:
1: Runs at the sight of you. Not halter broken at all.
2: Stays put; you can walk near but not touch. If you get too close will walk away. Only marginally halter broken.
3: May let you feed treats. May let you touch or pet (especially while eating) or may move away if you try to touch. May be halter broken but needs work still.
4: Somewhat hard to catch, but performs well on halter once it is on. This animal is halter broken, will lead and can be shown with reasonable effort.
5: Can walk up and put a halter on in the middle of a pasture. This is an incredibly tame cow. Can be shown by anyone. FEW cows reach this level - we only assign this rating to exceptionally tame animals that we have worked with extensively.
References - We have NEVER had a dissatisfied customer. We are happy to provide a list of customers you can contact in advance of a purchase from BeaverTree Farm.
